Product Overview

Description

Construction 102 in Canada is a training program that builds on (and supplements) the two-day Construction 101 course, offering a deeper look at advanced procurement and advanced contract administration (including standard contract terms, change management, progress billing, and closeout/ready-for-takeover). It also covers current and emerging industry trends and tools such as BIM, LEED/Lean, and the role of AI.

Construction 102 in Canada is a collaborative training initiative led by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) and partner construction associations nationwide. It builds on the essential two-day Construction 101 course and is designed for people working in construction or related roles—such as offices, field support, or project owner/developer settings—who are new to or recently introduced to ICI+C (industrial, commercial, institutional, and civil) construction in Canada.

Building on Construction 101 in Canada, Construction 102 introduces the attendee to a deeper understanding of two critical and fundamental themes and industry best practices.

1.Advanced Procurement;

2.Advanced contract administration, and standardized contract terms and conditions

A third theme is presented to attendees to discuss and contemplate current trends, future trends and tools available and deployed today in the Canadian construction industry; specifically, the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
